CN donates railway memorabilia to Moncton Museum

Moncton - The City of Moncton and Mayor Lome Mitton held a reception today at the Moncton Museum to recognize CN for its donation of a collection of railway memorabilia to the Museum. Denis Losier, President and CEO of Assumption Life, and Member of the CN Board of Directors, and Alain Thauvette, Senior General Manager of CN's Eastern Canada Division, officially donated the collection, which includes a locomotive bell, porcelain dishes, silverware, and conductor hats.

"The City of Moncton thanks CN for its generous donation, and we're extremely pleased with the addition of this new collection to the Moncton Museum," said Mayor Mitton. "CN is known for supporting heritage museums like ours and for its tradition of helping to preserve history for future generations."

“CN has a strong heritage in Moncton and these artifacts remind us of proud chapters in CN's history and the railway's presence here today," said Losier.

Thauvette added: "The Moncton Museum has a deep understanding of the important role that CN and its predecessors played in the building of Moncton. We knew that the Museum would be an excellent new home for these treasures of CN's past."

The CN collection of railway memorabilia will be on permanent display at the Moncton Museum.
