I am thinking of taking an early CPP. Will my CN pension be affected anywhere down the roadÉ I have read some of the threads but I`m hoping someone can clarify this issue for me. Thanks

The simple answer is your CN Pension will not be affected by when you elect to take your CPP. If you took the "Increased Pension to Age 65 Option (IPO)" your CN pension will be reduced at Age 65. If you did not take IPO option your CN pension does not change at Age 65. The CN Pension and the CPP are mutually exclusive. Nothing that happens to one pension effects the other.

Cheers
