Membership

Membership consist of retired CN employees, surviving spouses and honorary members. Retirees and their spouses from groups formerly connected with CN (i.e. VIA Rail and Marine Atlantic).

Active employees can be admitted as social members without voice or vote.

"Bridged" employees are also eligible for membership to the CN Pensioners' Association.

Annual Membership Dues

The annual membership fee is $12.00 and the period is calendar year (January - December). Membership fee can be paid via Payroll Deduction (which is the recommended method of payment). We will arrange to have $1.00 per month deducted from your monthly pension cheque. This method is administratively beneficial to the association as it helps keep our administrative costs down. It saves the cost of postage to and from members each year, banking fees, transportation costs, etc. It is also beneficial to the pensioner as it continues without interruption until otherwise advised by the pensioner ... you never have to wonder if your dues have been paid ever again. 

The other option is to pay via cheque/money order, made payable to CN Pensioners' Association in the amount of $12.00. Dues payments become due on January 1st of each calendar year.

The Payroll Deduction option is unfortunately not available to the "bridged" group as their payroll is not the same payroll as the regular pension group. Payroll Deduction is not available for VIA Rail members, Marine Atlantic members or Social members.
