Terry Fox Run - September 14, 2025 Thank you to those CN Pensioners who represented CN at last year’s Terry Fox Run. On September 15, 2024, nearly 300 CN employees, retirees, and family members took part in six runs across Canada, raising over $16,500 for cancer research. This was part of CN’s $1 million commitment over three years to help fund life-saving research and innovation. In 2023–24 alone, the Terry Fox Foundation directed $43.9 million to cancer research, supporting over 170 projects and nearly 600 researchers. Definitely something to be proud of! This year’s run - the 45th annual - takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025 across Canada! As we look ahead to this year’s events, we invite more of you to get involved. - Rail Safety Week | cnpensioners.org
Rail Safety Week 2024 Help CN to Spread the Rail Safety Message Held annually in September, Rail Safety Week is a great opportunity to inform the public about the importance of rail safety and the risks of trespassing and not obeying signs and signals at grade crossings. This year, Rail Safety Week 2024 will be held in Canada, the United States and Mexico from September 23-29. Operation Lifesaver, and its partners, created Rail Safety Week in 2003 to raise public awareness of the potential dangers at railway crossings and from trespassing on railway property. Since then the momentum has grown and together with our partners at Operation Lifesaver, CN will join forces again this year to promote public rail safety in communities throughout our network across North America. Join our CN Rail Safety Week team! Rail Safety Week is just around the corner and we need your help to ensure it's a success! Why get involved? Your experience, insight, and commitment can truly make a difference in promoting safety around railway tracks and crossings. By volunteering with us, you'll play a crucial role in educating others about safe practices and raising awareness about the importance of rail safety. Here's how you can contribute: Volunteer: Join our team of dedicated volunteers during Rail Safety Week. Whether it's distributing educational materials, assisting at events, or engaging with the community, your participation will be invaluable. For a list of specific events being organized in your area, please email rsw@cn.ca Make a presentation: Your firsthand experiences can resonate deeply with others. Consider sharing your insights on why rail safety matters to you. Your voice can inspire others to take action and prioritize safety. Sign the pledge: Pledge to be safe around tracks and trains by visiting www.cn.ca/railsafety and signing the online pledge. Encourage your families and communities to do the same. Together, we can reach more people and make our communities safer places to live, work, and play. Your involvement can make a significant difference in preventing accidents and saving lives. Let's work together to ensure that everyone understands the importance of rail safety. For more information, please email rsw@cn.ca .
